Position: Commercial Estimator

Key Requirements of the Job:

To manage chargeable rates and estimate applicable rates and costs in cargo transport, containers handling and shipping logistics in our warehousing and freight forwarding business logistics as per given instructions, procedures and company policies.

Main Duties:

Job Opportunity

• Provide detailed cost estimates for business projects to the management
• Provide applicable market rates of cargo handling profitable to the company
• Present estimates of chargeable business rates to managing director and management
• Negotiate business rates on behalf of company and provide report thereof to management
• Research and gather costs and rates quotations for analysis
• Attend and participate in business meetings to present interests of the company
• Ensure close clients & customers correspondences to update on going business/projects
• Propose viable and profitable business to management 
• Analyze and present business projects and estimate costs and chargeable rates to management meeting 
• Coordinate with heads of divisions on daily logistics for proper business negotiations
• Ensure the company obtains best and favourable rates in business all the time
• Assess business risks and advise management
• Advise on tenders and projects and ensure close follow up 
• Perform other related duties incumbent to the position

Required skills;

• Bachelor degree in business administration, economics, logistics management, procurement, account & finance, commerce or related field of study
• At least 4 years good experience in logistics commercial roles 
• High Level of Computer Literate (Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, Power point, E-mail & Outlook program)
• High Level Communications & Interpersonal skills
• High level negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data presentation.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and other business stakeholders.
• Good analytical skills
