CSEE is administered in the first week of November every year.
The objectives of this examination are: to assess students’ skills and knowledge achieved in different subjects at secondary school; to determine the extent to which the students can use the skills gained to solve social, political, economic and technological challenges for their individual development and national development at large; to identify students with the capacity to proceed to the advanced secondary school level or join training institutions. A holder of CSEE is expected to be able to apply their knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation skills in a broad range of activities.
Any student who has completed four years of secondary education in both government and registered private schools and has passed the Form Two National Assessment or Qualifying Test is eligible to sit for this examination. Repeaters of the same examination registered as private candidates are also eligible.
