About the Role

Corto safaris is recruiting a cashier/accountant to join its team in Arusha. This full-time role requires precision and the ability to multitask. You will be required to prepare safari budgets, cash budgets, and any other budget needed for day-to-day activities for all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

√Be responsible for recording, authorizing, and dispatching all cash payments.

√ Ensure all cash payments made to suppliers have an EFD receipt before filing and being entered in QuickBooks and Petty Cash file.

√ Write all Local Purchase orders requested and request for the manager and/or director’s approval before processing with payment.

√ Enter all payments correctly in QuickBooks and filing all receipts and expenditures after postings

√ Filing all Local Purchase Order, Payment Request, Petty Cash books in serial no. for future reference.

√ Calculate the fuel consumption of every car after each safari before issuing driver final payment

√ Reconcile petty cash and send reports to the operations manager and directors weekly

√ Make sure all cash transactions are authorized, and bear receipt or supporting documents

√ Check items for purchase received from cash transaction if they tally with documents if there is any credit not to report it and assign it for the next purchase

Key Qualifications

√ Bachelor’s degree in accounting

√ Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Quickbooks

√ Minimum of 2+ years in accounting, or a related field.

√ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
