About AIRD:
The African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit NGO. AIRD provides operational technical support, including supply chain, logistics, and infrastructure, in partnership with relief and development organizations. AIRD works with UN Agencies, international and national donor organizations, and governments in disaster-affected, poverty-stricken, and development-oriented areas. AIRD has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, and discrimination. Selected candidates will undergo background checks.

Job Summary:
The Data Assistant will support the Senior Data Officer by ensuring timely and accurate data entry into the ERP system. The incumbent will maintain data integrity, conduct quality checks, and assist in preparing reports.

General Duties:

1. Encode data (store reports, workshop reports, and other reports) into the ERP system.
2. Assist in gathering information and preparing workshop and store monitoring reports.
3. Collaborate with the Senior Data Officer to prepare vehicle maintenance databases, statistics, invoices, and reports.
4. Maintain the database of project non-expendable properties.
5. Manage the movement of spare parts in the store using the ERP system.
6. Provide technical user support and perform regular software upgrades.
7. Ensure information protection and recovery, including regular system backups.

Data Entry Responsibilities:

1. Record issues and receipts of spare parts through the ERP system.
2. Produce reports from the ERP system as required.
3. Prepare monthly vehicle maintenance reports using data extracted from the ERP system.

IT Support Responsibilities:

1. Assist in monitoring the performance of office equipment and communication systems.
2. Update antivirus software on all computers.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Secondary Education Certificate.
2. Minimum of a Certificate in Computer Science.
3. Knowledge of database use and management.
4. Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and oral).
5. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in similar organizations.
6. Familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage.
